Video tutorial for Sysinternals ZoomIt 4.2
|
Review
This is official description
ZoomIt is screen zoom and annotation tool for technical presentations that include application demonstrations. ZoomIt runs unobtrusively in the tray and activates with customizable hotkeys to zoom in on an area of the screen, move around while zoomed, and draw on the zoomed image. I wrote ZoomIt to fit my specific needs and use it in all my presentations. ZoomIt works on all versions of Windows and you can use pen input for ZoomIt drawing on tablet PCs.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.1
Sysinternals ZoomIt is very convenient to use for zooming purposes!
It can zoom the whole area of the screen. Very useful in presentations where you may have the need to show a particular area in a large size/font in case they are too small to be understood.
It is a small application which sits quietly in the tray. The shortcut keys do the trick of zooming. While in the zoom mode, we can use our mouse. We can thus highlight some important points by using the red mark. It can be performed in the drawing mode. While in the drawing mode, just tap the key "t" and we can start typing on the screen.
LiveZoom is a feature, which can be used in Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers. It can zoom the screen even if we are working on something. It shows all the updated window contents. Anyway, this feature can seem to be a little slower.
The "timer" can be set to show countdown on the whole screen. It goes away with the escape key. We can increase/decrease time just by the up/down keys on the keyboard.
The pen input for drawing on tablet PCs is compatible with ZoomIt.
All this makes the program a great tool to work with presentations and I love using it. |

- Can be quite confusing at the first use.
- Livezoom can be slow sometimes.
